Maximize Server Uptime with Intel® Run Sure Technology
See how to reduce costs and maintain mission-critical workloads
For many businesses, a single hour of unplanned server downtime can significantly impact their operations. Now you can reduce the frequency and cost of server downtime while helping to protect the integrity of your critical data with Intel® Run Sure Technology.1 This standardized set of features adds even more reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) to the Intel® Xeon® processor E7 v4 family, helping to ensure the highest levels of uptime for your most mission-critical workloads.
A new feature of Intel® Run Sure Technology with Intel® Xeon® processor E7-8800/4800 v4 product families, Enhanced Machine Check Architecture Recovery Gen 2, reduces unplanned system downtime. It allows the firmware to recover from uncorrectable errors, without interrupting the OS.
Address Range Memory Mirroring, another new feature enabled on Intel® Xeon® processor E7 v4 family, provides a cost-effective option to mirror critical portions of memory onto spare memory to protect against uncorrectable memory errors. This preserves critical regions while leaving more memory available to the system.
Intel® Run Sure Technology features Resilient System Technology that integrates processor, firmware, and software layers to help diagnose fatal errors, contain faults, and automatically recover to keep the server operating.
Another feature group, Resilient Memory Technologies, helps ensure data integrity within the memory subsystem. This keeps the system running reliably over a longer period of time, reducing the need for immediate service calls.
In addition to minimizing lost revenue opportunities and service and maintenance expenses from unplanned system downtime, Intel Run Sure Technology helps protect your business from costly scenarios that can damage a business’s reputation, trigger government regulatory repercussions, or both.
Mission-critical workloads that benefit from Intel® Run Sure Technology include:
