Unified Information System Enhances Mobile Productivity

The case study looks at a unified information system that improves workflow and productivity at the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Office of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (BH/DS).

Agency employees use tablets powered by an Intel® Core™ i5 processor. The mobile platform supports all aspects of an employee’s workflow, whether in the office or out in the field.

The system helps BH/DS cut administrative costs, achieve high reimbursement rates, reduce energy consumption, and eliminate the waiting list for mental health services. BH/DS improves IT manageability and avoids having to support multiple devices per employee, while still maintaining a high level of data security and computing performance.
