Innovating in Texas
Located in the capitol city of Texas, Intel’s Austin facility is a research and development center for 1700 employees who innovate at the boundaries of technology to make amazing experiences possible for business and society, and for every person on Earth.
Among the innovations developed in Austin is the Intel® Atom™ processor, which delivers advanced technology and processing capabilities onto an ultra-thin and lightweight design.
From investing in education and promoting broad economic development initiatives, to working hand-in-hand with neighbors, Intel has long been committed to applying technology and the talents of our employees to broaden access to opportunity and be an asset to our community. Over the last five years, our employees in Texas have generously donated 7,500 hours of service, and Intel and the Intel Foundation gave more than $11 million in grants, donations, and in-kind gifts to local Texas schools, universities, and non-profits.
We continually strive to improve our operations and minimize our impact on the environment. In 2017, we announced a new goal to restore 100% of our global water use by 2025. While we already return approximately 80% of the water we use back to the community, we are broadening our focus to restore the balance of our water use through collaborative community-based projects, starting right here in the United States.
Diversity and Inclusion
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
We believe that in order to shape the future of technology, we must be representative of that future. By bringing together people with a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences, we can continue to innovate and solve the world’s toughest challenges.
In addition to our benefits and programs, employees at our Austin campus have access to many on-site amenities, including a fitness center, cafes with free fruit and beverages, dry cleaning, notary, electric vehicle charging stations, on-site car wash, occupational health clinic, nursing mother rooms, and employee discount programs.
